Have you been playing Pokemon Go and wondering how to find Pikachu, Scyther, Electabuzz and other rare Pokémons. Finally, there is a way of finding rare Pokemon without the need to go outside and walk around on the Pokémon Go app waiting for one to pop up. Thankfully, Pokemon Go lovers have created several Pokémon-tracking maps for the game to help trainers figure out which Pokémon can be found in their areas and elsewhere. More and more Pokemon Go maps or Pokémon tracking maps are constantly being developed and added, but only a few have the quality, depth, and variety to make them worth your time. PokéVision

There is a website called PokéVision which shows exactly where Pokémon are currently spawning in Google Maps, including the time left before they disappear. It is a Google Maps type website where you enter your location and it will pinpoint exactly which Pokemon are around you. Unlike many other Pokemon Go Maps, PokéVision uses the Niantic API, however, it can show you exactly where every Pokémon is at the present moment, and for how long it’s going to be there before it disappears.

There are a few methods to scan for the location of Pokemon in PokeVision. Click anywhere on the map to drop a location marker.  After placing a marker, press scan to reveal Pokemon nearby. By using the Search Bar, enter your location (or a location you wish to scan) and hit enter. You can then click Scan. If there are Pokemon nearby, they will display on the map along with their appearance time.

This means that if it is displayed on the map, you can go out and catch them. Rarer Pokemons have a shorter appearance time so they might be spawn; make sure to be quick and keep an eye on their timers. PokéVision allows trainers to re-scan every 30 seconds for up-to-date information.

The cool thing about PokéVision is that it works anywhere “Pokémon Go” works around the world. PokéVision works both in web and mobile browsers, but the mobile browser seems to work better. We are not sure how long PokéVision will be around since it relies on Niantic API, the company might take it down depending on whether they feel it ruins the experience.

Poke Radar

Poke Radar is a new Pokemon GO Map app that allows Pokemon GO players to add rare Pokemon sightings to a map so others can find them too. The map is put together by developers Braydon Batungbacal and Nick DiVona and is driven by its community, it’s possible that there may not yet be Pokemon locations in your area when you first download the app.

With this app, you can view all of the nearby Pokemon in your area that has been discovered by your self and other players on the map, along with the times of day they were found. You can go out and mark the locations of Pokemon you’ve found to help other players in your area. When others view the location of the Pokemon locations you’ve marked, your trainer name will also be associated to aid your local trainer reputation. Everyone’s gotta catch ’em all.

The idea is that it works both ways, so you’ll eventually be able to fill your Pokedex without spending hours wandering aimlessly around. If you’re trying to find a specific Pokemon’s location, you can also quickly use the “Filter” feature to find the nearest one.

The best thing about this app is that all Pokemon location submissions have the ability to be “Upvoted” or “Downvoted” by others. If a submission receives too many “Downvotes” it will be automatically removed from the map. Highly “Upvoted” locations will receive display priority on the map. The Poke Radar map is available for both Android and iPhone devices.

PokeGoWorld

Created by a Reddit user – PokeGoWorld map is international and has a huge amount of data that shows you the location of Pokéstops, gyms, and Pokémon in your city. PokeGoWorld, is crowd-sourced, meaning you and anyone else who lives in the area can mark Pokéstops, gyms, and Pokémon. You can sift the data by each of the 151 Pokémon in the game, by Pokémon type, by PokéStops, or by gyms.

Using the PokeGoWorld map is easy, just go to the site, enter your desired location, select the types of Pokemons, makers based on Pokéstops, gyms, and Pokémon. Once you hit enter it will display all the data available in your current location or nearby.

It has a Fixed Map/Satellite buttons and tweaked filtering (e.g. filtering by Pokémon). There is also a New Location search box, automated reporting, incorrect/inappropriate marker reporting. The best thing about this map is it has the ability to filter by PokéStops, Gyms, Pokémon, or Pokémon type.

Pokecrew

Pokecrew is another useful site for tracking Pokemon, it zeroes in on your location and begins showing what Pokémon might be nearby.  Pokecrew lets you search not just by location, but by which Pokemon you’re looking for. It will even let you know the distance in miles the closest of that particular type is to you. Pokecrew gives you a broader understanding of Pokemon habitats.

All catches are charted, and one can keep track of how far away they were. With a clean design and easy to read information. Besides the actual Pokémon sightings, each has a ‘chance of sighting’ rating. The database keeps up with what times of the day every species appears to be present. And if you happen to live in the United States and parts of South America, you’re in real luck and PokeCrew is the most reliable.

Pokémapper

Pokémapper is a crowd-sourced Pokémon GO sightings tracker used by millions of players around the world. It shows the most recent 10,000 submissions. Pokémapper is a neatly designed map for Pokémon Go which provides a worldwide look at Pokémon locations. The Pokémapper search function is simple and basic which lets you filter the map for specific types of Pokémon and the current location of the trainer.

Sightings are visually-indicated by dots, color-coded for the type of Pokemon—such as grass, water, fire, and so on. Sightings are also complete with a timestamp with the date and time of day.

Gotta Catch ‘Em All

Gotta Catch ‘Em All is another useful map for tracking Pokemons. It lists all the locations local players have found, sightings are cataloged with accuracy and sorted into categories of Common, Uncommon, Rares, Ultra Rares, and Epics.

It also features some locations where multiple PokéStops are gathered together such that you can stack your lures. You can sift by individual Pokémon, by Pokémon type, and also track down some popular hunting locations in the city.

Map for Pokemon Go: PokemonMap is one of the earliest crowdsources Pokemon Go map available for Android users. It has the most daily users among the Pokemon Go map apps.

It has a simple interface, it lets you share your catch with your friends and let you see all the other Gotcha places that shared by other players. PokemonMap filter function lets you filter the types of Pokemons and your own pin. It also has the ability to “Vote it up” and make more people see it and if you think someone posts a fake catch, you can just “Vote it down”.

Pokego

Pokego is one of the favorites Pokémon Go map. It has more than 45 thousand sightings and some interesting and unique features. The map is cleanly designed, it displays all the local sightings that have been submitted by trainers in clusters. When one zooms in, it displays them separately and can let you save as well.

One interesting feature about Pokego is it lets users remove fake sightings. The developer is currently working on even more improvements and even planning at converting into iOS app.

PokeFind

PokeFind is a map to help you locate Pokemon and hunt down a specific Pokemon. The map is simple, and the search function is somewhat basic but it does let you filter the map for specific types of Pokémon. You can scroll and zoom across the map to see clear pictures of the Pokémon currently found around the world.

PokeFind uses players’ data to show every single Pokémon ever found in your area. It displays all the actual Pokémon sightings and the types of Pokemon around the world. PokeFind also offers an Evolve calculator, to let you easily select your Pokemon, input its CP, and get a quick calculation.

PokeTrack

PokeTrack is a new and simple Pokémon Go app to locate and find Pokemon. Like many other Pokémon Go maps, it is based on community outsourced data where users can add their sightings to help other trainers.

Users can review all the submissions to prevent fake markers, the app lets you confirm or deny other trainer spottings as well. If a location strongly disagrees upon it is deleted to keep the map relevant. You can also search for specific types of Pokémon on the map.

Maps for Pokemon Go

This Application “Pokemon Go Locations Map” or Maps for Pokemon Go can help you to discover all pokemon locations on the map, who tend to cluster around interesting real-world landmarks, shops, and other locales.

If you live in the United States, Australia, Germany, Canada or any other place in the world you will get some pokemon locations. Don’t expect to get lots of data as these apps are not even a month old. They all heavily rely on crowdsourcing, so let us expect it grows.

Pokeflex

Pokeflex.com is one of the latest Pokemon Go Maps and claims to be the fastest-growing directory of Pokemon Go maps. Like many other maps, Pokeflex is a community-driven project. Every location on this website is sourced and created by real players. Their goal is to add as many local locations as possible to create one giant map that showcases the location of every Pokemon in the world. Right now, its maps are specific to about a dozen or so areas especially in the US and Europe. Pokeflex has a few well-populated Pokémon Go maps that are worth checking out.

Getting started is easy, just visit and start searching base on the type, city or state closest to you. You can also use the menu bar to navigate the hottest cities worldwide. If you find new Pokemon you can also add their locations to one of the many maps.

PokeMark

PokeMark is another new Pokemon map, it has a handful of sightings at the moment. More locations are being added. Like others, the search filters let you look for specific Pokémon and select the time of the sighting. The site offers the ability to add location and it is currently working on to add the ability to leave comments.

MAPokemon

If you want to know where you can find Pokéstops, you might try checking out Mapokemon.com, which lists a number of Pokemon sightings or locations. MAPokemon is developed only for Gyms and Pokéstops, useful though.

PokeFinder

PokeFinder for Pokemon GO uses crowd-sourced data to display more accurate locations to help trainers find the pokemons they are looking for. PokeFinder is very easy to use and simple design, it uses your current location to see nearby, recently-discovered monsters, and also allows you to tag monsters you have found.

It has push notifications for appearances of rare monsters and the ability to search for a specific pokemon and also view monsters that have been spotted recently. It is around only one week old, let’s hope it gets better and grow its community. It is currently available for iOS devices only.
