1. Movcy
The number one movie app that we have is called Movcy. When you open the app for the first time, you see a pop-up, asking if you want to remove ads. You do not have to remove ads, the ads are anywhere from 13 to 30 seconds at the beginning of the movie. So you do not really have to remove ads because removing ads are paid. Nonetheless, the app itself looks really clean.
The interface is in dark mode, which means, even if you’re watching it at night, it’s going to be really convenient for your eyes. The app has four different menus at the bottom. If you download any of the movies, you can watch them in aeroplane mode, when you do not have access to the internet. Going to settings, you can directly play these movies and stream them to your TV, and enjoy it on a larger screen.
If you want to search up any of the movies you would go to the movies section and go over. All of the different movies that are available to you. To watch TV shows, you do the same thing you go to TV shows and look it up from there.
There’s a lot of different options. If you can’t find it in the list, you can also search directly. As soon as you click on the movie, you will get 15 to 30 seconds Ads. Once the ad is done, you can get bothered with any of the ads for the rest of your movie, which is kind of nice to just exit out of the app.
All the movie looks in very good high resolution. In case, you want to download them, you can download them directly. And if you need a caption, you can also get the captions as well. Overall, the movies look like very high resolution, and they should load without buffering.
It runs pretty smoothly. Another thing to mention is that it has more than one server. This means even if the first server fails, you have two more options which are really nice. Very simple, very easy to use, overall really great app that offers a variety of movie options.

Alright, so moving on the second app that we have on our list is called Plex. Plex allows you to create a free account. The good thing about creating an account is that you can directly sync up all of your accounts and continue watching whenever you’re.
The overall interface looks nice, you can search for any movies. You can also filter through by sections such as Sci-Fi, drama, comedy and many more. If you want to watch live TV you can go to the menu section and you can load up live TV. You can play any of the live streams that are going on, if you’re into news podcasts, it is available here as well.
And if you download any of the movies, you can watch even when you do not have access to the internet. Overall, it’s a really good app. If you want to AirPlay any movie to your TV directly, you can AirPlay it as well. So overall, this is another amazing app that offers a lot of different movie options, as well as TV shows, live TV and many more. You guys can definitely download this and enjoy using it.

3. FXNow
On the third spot, we have FXNow. The app looks amazing. In this app, you do not even have to sign in, you don’t have to log in, none of that stuff. At the bottom menu, you can see it has different menu options. If you go to the browse section, you will see three different options. It has originals, movies, and also streaming, the live streams that are going on right now. If you go to the live TV, you have all the other options as well.
In order to watch some of the live streams, you might have to sign in with your provider, that’s the only downside. But if you just want to watch the movies, then you do not have to sign in. You can just watch the movies from here, or you can search up by going to the search icon. Search for any of the movies that you want to specifically look out for.
Overall, the user interface of this app is by far one of the best user interfaces. The only downside is that in order to watch live TV, you do have to sign in with your TV provider. If you do not have a TV provider, then you might not able to watch live TV. But if you want to enjoy watching your movies, then this app has a lot of different options. You can also search for specific movies as well but overall it’s another great app, definitely not the best. That is why it is coming at number three.

4. FilmRise
Moving on, the next movie app is called FilmRise. The app’s user interface is very clean, easy to follow. On the bottom right corner, it has four different menu options. On the Browse page, you can look up, TV, movies or recently added.
You can even add it to your own playlist as well, and sort through a lot of different movies. Pick out the favourite ones and add them to your recently added playlist. If you go to search, you can search for any of the specific movies directly. It also has AirPlay which you can play directly to your TV as well.
The app has the ability to speed it up, skip 15 seconds, or you can skip it by dragging the button on the bottom right. The good thing is there are no buffering issues. It is super nice, the quality is really good as well. Not only that, you can get the caption as well. The only downside of this app is that it does not have any live TV.
However, though it has a lot of different feature movies, as well as a lot of different classic TV shows, which is really nice. Overall, a really good app, go ahead, download it and try it out for yourself and see if you like it.

5. SYFY
This app is good for those who want to just watch movies on their phone. It works on a credit system. If you want to watch a movie and start watching. The app will say you’re about to use a credit. Basically, you get three credits a day. This means you can only watch free movies, that’s how it works if you don’t link your provider. If you do, you can link your provider, and get unlimited content.
Note that if you don’t have a link to TV provider, you will not able to watch. That might be the only downside but overall. In the search icon, you can search for any of the specific movies that you may want to watch. It does have the AirPlay option as well. At the top right corner, if you want to AirPlay directly to your TV, you can do that as well.
If you go to the more tab you can sign in, and you can customize a lot of different options. This app does have ads, and there is no way to skip the ads. The ads are anywhere from 15 to 30 seconds. It has four different ads at a time which is kind of annoying. The app can play any movie without any issue and without buffering. It works pretty smoothly, the definition, the resolution is pretty good as well.
SYFY lets you watch in full HD, and directly stream it to your AirPlay to TV as well. If you guys want to do that as well but nonetheless this is overall a decent app, not the best. At number six is called Kanopy. This app is quite unique and very interesting. Definitely not the best app, but if you hit Get Started. As you will have two different options. Number one, you have to have a library card, or if you don’t have that you have to be a student or a professor of a certain college. So that’s how you directly connect your account to the Kanopy movie app.
If you do not have any of these, unfortunately, you won’t be able to use this app. But if you do have the library card, Public Library card, or if you are a college student, you can sign in with. If you can sign in, you can enjoy using this for free.
The app has a lot of different movie options as well, this is another option if you do have the required credentials. This app has a lot of different reviews, it’s pretty decent and offers a lot of different movie options. If this is something you’re interested in, go ahead and try it out for yourself.

7. iflix
Last but not the least, we have iflix. This is a really good app, unfortunately, it does not work in the United States. So if you live outside of the United States, I’m not sure if this is available in Europe or UK or Asia, but if you try this out and if it is available. This is another really great app. With this app, you can watch TV shows and movies for free, and it does not have any fees. You can download and watch offline, a really great app.
