Snapchat is good at gamifying its App without providing a proper explanation on certain features. Though, it is a great way to get users to engage and continually keep them looking or coming back. Since the introduction of the Snapchat scoring system, Snapchat Score confuses many Snapchatters. Its meaning isn’t explained well within the app by the Snapchat Team. The latest Snapchat Score seems to be based on certain factors like the number of snaps you send, the number of snaps you receive, stories you post and trophies you unlocked and other stuff most probably.
What is Snapchat Score?
According to Snapchat, Your Snapchat score is a special equation combining the number of Snaps you’ve sent and received, Stories you’ve posted, and other factors. But Snapchat has never revealed how the number is calculated or how a user’s score is determined – it appears to go up the more you increase your Snapchat activities, but now with this drops it’s hard to say exactly how points are allocated.
Want to check your Snapchat scores? You can view your own Snapchat score by opening the app, tapping the square on the bottom left corner, then tapping where it says “Snapchat” at the top of the screen.
This will change to two numbers; the first number is how many snaps you have sent; the second number is how many snaps you have received in total.

As far as Snapchat Scores is concerned, Snapchat seems to keeps its specific means for calculating the Snapchat score or mechanism a closely guarded secret. For the moment, just try increasing your score by increasing your Snpachat activities and see if there are any changes in the score.
